About the author - Mfon A. Umoren (mau)

Born in Nigeria, I soon left the country during Nigeria’s civil war.I grew up in the Middle West where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Finding the Midwest too conventional I relocated to California where I obtained my master’s degree in educational counseling from California State University, San Bernardino. I came to writing or should I say writing came to me, late. Writing has been, forgive the cliché, a cathartic experience for me. When the literati speak of genre and writing style I and that it is moderately difficult to categorize my own style. If unflinching, honest, raw literature is a style then that is how I sort things out. My future plans are to obtain my PhD in psychology, continue my involvement with jinMau Corporation and persist with my exploration of Zen Psychology.
